Dear China Once again I must say thank
you for the help you gave me in applying for the Disability Pension. My wife and
I appreciate the trouble you took in processing the claim. Yours Sincerely Dear China, I wish to make this donation
to the Welfare Association and ask that it be put into a special fund marked for
use by you to help you represent veterans etc in the eastern area of Australia.
Since your arrival in Orange your name has been spread far and wide and you are
doing wonderful work, even to the extent of travelling to Brisbane to help
veterans. I hope that the The Australian Navy in Vietnam Veterans Welfare
Association of WA agree to this and that this donation enables you to further
assist other veterans as you did with me. Yours truly Dear China, Once again thankyou for all
the help and support you gave us while you were handling my case at the AAT
level. I know that I have already sent a letter of appreciation to you but we
are now in a position to follow that letter with a donation to the Welfare
Association so that you can all keep up the good work of representing the people
that come to you. Yours truly
Dear China My wife and I would like to thank you very sincerely for the great work you did for us at the AAT. It has taken a lot of pressure off both of us. We now have the coroners inquest still to come then maybe we can try to move on but unfortunately losing a son never really gets any better. Please find enclosed a donation to your welfare assn. I also intend to make a donation each year because I think the job you do
for serving and ex serving members is terrific. I hope you enjoyed your stay
with us in Brisbane as we enjoyed the pleasure of your company. Also my wife
received a letter from Commander Stafford C.O. HMAS Westralia saying he would be
honoured to accept my wife’s painting of our son as a memorial presentation to
HMAS Westralia. The ship will be berthing in Brisbane early June which I hope
you will attend. I would also like to thank you once again for setting things in
motion for my wife to have her painting as a memorial to our son through your
connections in the navy. Thank you very much China, Regards
HI
