Planning
is well underway for the 2011 HOBART Association 2011 Reunion in
Canberra
. A highlight will be a Dedication
Ceremony of the HMAS HOBART Commemorative Plaque at the Australian War Memorial
(AWM) on the morning of Saturday 12th November.
The Plaque will be bronze cast and eventually placed alongside those of
other Navy, Army and RAAF Service Units in the outside public areas of the AWM.
It will commemorate the Service of the Cruiser and the DDG.
The HMAS
HOBART
Plaque will be unveiled by a member of the Cruiser’s crew and by members of
the families of those who lost their lives in the DDG.
